Cross-Border Department

Services

The knowledge, understanding and working within legislation to keep your vehicles on the road, results from building long-standing, credible relationships with the various organisations over the years.  This professionalism gives you peace of mind in allowing us to act with your permission on your behalf and offer the following services.

Prepare Cross-Border Documentation:

This department handles all cross-border requests and applications on your behalf.  This includes clients from within South Africa sending to any country cross-border, and visa versa.

Pay For Application:

We handle the daily monetary transactions on your behalf through the account we have with CBRTA (Cross Border Road Transport Agency).

BA and TA Permit Applications:

Our agent in Botswana handles our “BA and TA” applications.  The benefit to transport contractors is three-fold – the security risk is reduced as the driver does not need to carry cash with them, saves driver standing time and a saving on costs.

Permit Renewal:

Clients are reminded in advance of their expiring permits. This ensures that all permits needed are always on the vehicle as required.

Permits On File:

Copies of all client existing documents and permits are held on our system.  New documents are required when current documents on our system have expired.

Expired Documentation:

Condition 10 and 11 of the Standard permit conditions requires all expired permits to be returned to CBRTA.  We handle this on your behalf, with records and signed documentation kept of returned permits on our system.

Courier Service:

On client request, permits are couriered from our office to any destination around the country.

General Enquiries:

We handle general enquiries for all cross-border transportation needs.
